Fitness Challenge

Why focus on health and wellness at BYU – Hawaii?  Here at the university is the best place and time to encourage healthy behaviors that can do more than anything else to insure healthy, meaningful lives. This academic year, faculty, staff and students will be receiving information, challenges, and reminders to assist in achieving health and wellness. Remember, you are the person most responsible for your health! Two-thirds of all illness is the result of unhealthy lifestyle behaviors and those behaviors contribute to half of all premature deaths. To kick off our campus wellness initiative, let’s first focus on exercise as a healthy lifestyle that contributes to both physical and mental health.   

THE CHALLENGE IS:  LET’S SEE HOW MANY OF US IN THE BYU-HAWAII COMMINITY CAN CIRCLE THE ISLAND OF OAHU BY THE END OF THE YEAR AND HOW MUCH WE CAN RAISE FOR CHARITY!
